Important Allotment News.....

we now have a couple of vacant allotments available for the 2013 season! ...please spread the word! :-)

About our Allotments

At Farm on the Hill we have been growing vegetables organically for over ten years.

Our experience has taught us the importance of fresh home grown produce. As soon as vegetables are picked they begin to deteriorate, losing much of their vitality within hours.

The only way to ensure that you are eating vegetables that are full of life and goodness is to grow your own.

An allotment allows you to grow your own living larder, ready to pick fresh whenever you want it.

In addition to having the space to grow fresh and healthy food for you and your family, having an allotment at Farm on the Hill will mean that you have access to our on-site support. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned gardener, we are always happy to lend a hand, or offer advice when needed.

...and the view from the hill...amazing! :-)

We offer two different size plots:

Full size plot: 250 metres squared - £70/year

Half size plot: 125 metres squared - £35/year
  • All plots have access to water
  • There is a communal parking area and access to drive cars direct to the allotments in order to load or unload.
  • a communal allotment area for barbecues and get togethers
  •  a compost toilet is on site
  • All allotment holders are eligible for a discount on all courses
  • Sheds and greenhouses are not provided but can be erected by the tenant
